This is another important stage in metal finishing line. The bath is alkaline. Metal bodies are processed in this to remove oil & grease. Foreign particles alongwith oil & grease get into this bath which are termed as contaminants. With increase in levels of contamination the bath needs to be discarded frequently. Baths are generally discarded well after toleration levels of contamination is past. Meaning production is made to work in unacceptable inferior quality of bath. .With every bath discard, generally leads to heat loss, cost of fresh chemicals, cost of discarding the bath and load of ETP. Inferior quality also leads to major quality problems and also may lead to job rejection |

Conventional filtration can not provide answer. As the solution is alkaline, heavy foaming takes place even with slightest agitation. Oil & grease further complicate filtration as they form thin layer on filter media and clog further filtration. |

Degreasing liquid from the bath is pumped KOFILDG. First solution goes into free oil & grease separation section which is discharged out. Further it enters muck separation section. Clarified liquid is returned back to the degreasing bath. Muck is discharged out periodically without stopping filtration. The entire system is controlled by state of the art instrumentation technology making it completely supervision-free. |
